Dr. Dinh Phan is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at La Trobe Business School. Prior to joining La Trobe University, he worked at Deakin University, Monash University Malaysia, and Taylor’s University. His research interest is in financial economics, asset pricing, forecasting, energy finance, Islamic stocks, and corporate finance. Dinh Phan is a Subject Editor of the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money; Subject Editor of Emerging Markets Finance and Trade; and Guest Editor of the Economic Modelling. Dinh Phan co-founded the Asia-Pacific Applied Economics Associations (APAEA) and currently serves as the Association Secretary. He has been named Rising Star, one of the Top 40 young researchers and the leaders of the future in Australia, by The Australian in 2020 (one of the top-5 in the Business, Economics and Management discipline). He also has been awarded the La Trobe Business School’s 2020 Mid-Career Researcher Award.
Dr. Giang Phung is a permanent faculty in Accounting and Finance at ISC Paris Business School, France. Having worked for six years in the finance-banking sector in France and Vietnam, she is a holder of a Ph.D. in Finance at ESCP Business School and Paris 1 Sorbonne, a Master in Management, an MBA, as well as a B.Sc. in Audit and Financial Advisory. She is a member of the FMA (the Financial Management Association International), French Finance Association (AFFI) and Institut Louis Bachelier. Her areas of research include ESG, bank performance, bank regulation, financial crises, and emerging markets finance. She is also a reviewer for international academic journals.
Dr. Mai Luong obtained a Ph.D. in Finance from University of Technology Sydney(UTS) in 2020 and is currently working as a Senior Modeller at Westpac Banking Corporation in Australia. She specializes in Bank Risk Analytics, Prudential Regulatory Standards, Government Guarantee Scheme, and Housing Finance. In addition to the industry job, she also conducts academic research about Mortgage Risk and serves as a casual academic at UTS where she teaches banking and finance subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Prior to that, she had several years working in the banking sector in Vietnam focusing on Credit Risk Modelling.
Dr. Vu Trinh is a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at Newcastle University Business School (NUBS), Newcastle University, UK. He is also the foreign research fellow of Institute of Business Research, University of Economics HCM City. He is recognised as an international expert in the areas of corporate governance, CEO leadership and global financial management. His publications appear in the top-tier research journals such as European Journal of Finance; Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, International Review of Financial Analysis, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, International Journal of Finance and Economics, etc., among several high quality research projects. Other working papers are under reviewed (or R&R) by world leading journals. He is also the Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), the member of the European Accounting Association (EAA), British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA), the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM), and Society for Financial Studies (SFS), etc.
